01Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Tap Havoc ("we", "us") handles information in connection with our mobile game FLIP (the "Game"). Tap Havoc is an independent game studio. Our website is taphavoc.com.
By using the Game, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Game.
02Information and Data
Information stored on your device
The Game stores information such as your best scores, daily-run progress and settings (for example music, sound, vibration and timing calibration) locally on your device so it can work properly. This information stays on your device and is removed when you clear the Game's data or uninstall it.
Information you give us
We do not ask you to create an account or to enter your name or email address to play. If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and anything you include in your message, and we use it only to respond to you.
Leaderboards
If you choose to sign in to Google Play Games, the Game may submit your scores to Google Play Games leaderboards. This is handled by Google. Depending on your Play Games settings, your Play Games profile name, avatar and scores may be visible to other players.
Sharing your score
If you use the Game's share feature, it copies a short message with your score to your device's clipboard so that you can paste it wherever you choose. The Game does not send that message anywhere itself.
Information processed by third-party services
The Game may use third-party services for leaderboards, analytics, advertising, crash reporting and related functionality. Depending on which services are enabled and on your device and privacy settings, these services may collect or process information such as:
- device information, such as device model, operating system version and language;
- app interactions, such as sessions, gameplay events and scores;
- approximate location derived from network information such as IP address, where applicable;
- advertising identifiers, such as the Android advertising ID, where permitted;
- diagnostics and crash information.
What is actually collected depends on the services enabled in the version of the Game you are using and on your device and privacy settings.
03Analytics
The Game may use analytics and crash-reporting services, such as Google Analytics for Firebase or Firebase Crashlytics, to understand how the Game is played and how it performs on different devices. We would use this information to fix problems and improve the Game, not to identify you personally.
04Advertising
The Game may show ads, such as interstitial ads or optional rewarded ads, provided by an advertising service such as Google AdMob. If it does, advertising providers may use device information, advertising identifiers and approximate location to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud and, where permitted and where you have agreed if consent is required, show personalised ads.
Where required by law (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), the Game will ask for your consent before any personalised advertising.
05Third-Party Services
The Game may use third-party services such as the following. The exact services used may change, and this list will be updated to reflect the services used by the released Game.
- Google Play Games Services (leaderboards)
- Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics (analytics and crash reporting), if enabled
- Google AdMob (advertising), if enabled

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users' safety, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.
06Children's Privacy
The Game is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13, or the minimum age required in your country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us at privacy@taphavoc.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
07Data Retention
Information stored on your device stays there until you clear the Game's data or uninstall it. Information processed by third-party services, including leaderboard scores, is kept according to those services' retention settings and policies. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and for reasonable record-keeping.
08Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information handled in connection with the Game. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Information handled by third-party services is protected according to those providers' security practices.
09Your Choices
- Leaderboards: signing in to Google Play Games is optional. You can manage your Play Games profile and visibility settings in the Google Play Games app or your Google Account.
- Advertising ID: you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your Android device settings. The exact location varies by device, but it is usually under Settings › Privacy › Ads or Settings › Google › Ads.
- Stop collection: you can stop all collection by the Game by uninstalling it.
- Your rights: depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, or to object to or restrict its processing. To make a request, email privacy@taphavoc.com. Because the Game does not use accounts, we may need information from you to locate any relevant data. Some data, such as Play Games leaderboard data, is held directly by third-party providers under their own policies.
- Complaints: you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
10Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time, including as FLIP is prepared for release and its final services are confirmed. When we do, we will post the updated policy on this page and update the effective date above.
