01Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Tap Havoc ("we", "us") handles information in connection with our mobile game CRUSH (the "Game"). Tap Havoc is an independent game studio. Our website is taphavoc.com.

By using the Game, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Game.

02Information and Data

Information stored on your device

The Game stores information such as your scores, game settings (for example sound, vibration and visual effects preferences) and purchase status locally on your device so it can work properly. This information stays on your device and is removed when you clear the Game's data or uninstall it.

Information you give us

We do not ask you to create an account or to enter your name or email address to play. If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and anything you include in your message, and we use it only to respond to you.

Information processed by third-party services

The Game may use third-party services for analytics, advertising, crash reporting, in-app purchases and related functionality. Depending on which services are enabled and on your device and privacy settings, these services may collect or process information such as:

  • device information, such as device model, operating system version and language;
  • app interactions, such as sessions, gameplay events and ads viewed;
  • approximate location derived from network information such as IP address, where applicable;
  • advertising identifiers, such as the Android advertising ID, where permitted;
  • diagnostics and crash information.

What is actually collected depends on the services enabled in the version of the Game you are using and on your device and privacy settings.

In-app purchases

The Game may offer optional in-app purchases, such as removing ads. Purchases are processed by Google Play. We do not receive your payment card details. We receive confirmation of the purchase so the Game can unlock and restore it.

03Analytics

The Game may use analytics and crash-reporting services, such as Google Analytics for Firebase or Firebase Crashlytics, to understand how the Game is played and how it performs on different devices. For example, this can show which parts of the Game are too hard and where crashes happen. We use this information to fix problems and improve the Game. We do not use it to identify you personally.

04Advertising

The Game may show ads, including full-screen interstitial ads between runs and, where offered, optional rewarded ads that you can choose to watch in exchange for an in-game benefit. Ads are expected to be provided by Google AdMob.

Advertising providers may use device information, advertising identifiers and approximate location to deliver and measure ads, limit how often you see the same ad, prevent fraud and, where permitted and where you have agreed if consent is required, show personalised ads.

Where required by law (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), the Game will ask for your consent before personalised advertising, using a consent tool such as Google's User Messaging Platform. Even when ads are not personalised, providers may still process limited information to deliver ads, measure them and prevent fraud.

05Third-Party Services

The Game may use third-party services such as the following. The exact services used may change, and this list will be updated to reflect the services used by the released Game.

  • Google AdMob (advertising) and Google's User Messaging Platform (consent)
  • Google Play Billing (in-app purchases)
  • Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics (analytics and crash reporting), if enabled

These services process information under their own privacy policies. For Google services, see the Google Privacy Policy, how Google uses information from apps that use its services and Firebase privacy information.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users' safety, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.

06Children's Privacy

The Game is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13, or the minimum age required in your country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us at and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

07Data Retention

Information stored on your device stays there until you clear the Game's data or uninstall it. Information processed by third-party services is kept according to those services' retention settings and policies. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and for reasonable record-keeping.

08Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information handled in connection with the Game. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Information handled by third-party services is protected according to those providers' security practices.

09Your Choices

  • Advertising ID: you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your Android device settings. The exact location varies by device, but it is usually under Settings › Privacy › Ads or Settings › Google › Ads.
  • Consent: where the Game asks for consent, you can change your choice using the privacy options the Game provides.
  • Stop collection: you can stop all collection by the Game by uninstalling it.
  • Your rights: depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, or to object to or restrict its processing. To make a request, email . Because the Game does not use accounts, we may need information from you to locate any relevant data. Some data may be held directly by third-party providers under their own policies.
  • Complaints: you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

10Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time, including as CRUSH is prepared for release and its final services are confirmed. When we do, we will post the updated policy on this page and update the effective date above.
